Troubled Waters in East Asia and Japan’s Middle Power Diplomacy
In addition to reviewing essential data in what concerns the relationship between Japan and China, this lecture will provide a comprehensive analysis of Japan within its regional context. On the one hand, the lecture explains the role of the different countries of East Asia, with a special focus on China, and, on the other hand, presents a series of policy recommendations for how Japan should handle the situation in order to build a stable East Asia, as well as to maintain good relationships with every party involved.
