André Consolmagno, student of the Master's in International Development, is doing an internship at UNICEF headquarters in New York
Through the IBEI Internship Programme the student of the Master's in International Development André Consolmagno is doing an internship at the headquarters of UNICEF in New York.
As an intern of the New Aid Modalities unit as part of the Public Partnership Department of UNICEF, André has been working mostly with the teams of International Finance Institution and Innovative Finance for Development.
His main responsibilities include the assistance in prepreparing short guidance documents in partnership arrangements with International Finance Institutions, in particular the World Bank, and for UNICEF regional and country offices, assisting in when and how to engage with these Institutions, and also assisting senior management in the negotiation and design of new partnerships models.
André has also participated in all the processes related to the Financing for Development (FfD) Report of 2017, which include analyzing OECD data of the 2015 and 2016 ODA disbursements on child-related sectors, using relevant statistical software, attending selected FfD inter-agency task team (IATF) meetings and preparing summaries and reports for management’s information and follow-up actions.
Finally, his tasks also contemplate supporting the team’s technical assistance function provided through relevant global and regional meetings, including preparation of presentations, technical guides and case studies.
