Co-organised by the IEMed as part of the Aula Mediterrània 2021-22 programme in collaboration with IBEI Master’s in International Relations.

The inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean with an as wide and interdisciplinary perspective as possible. It is the result of the collaboration between the IEMed and the academic world, including IBEI.

In the academic year 2021-22, the programme celebrates its eighth edition combining on-site and online conferences due to the covid-19 pandemic. Some of the topics that the programme will cover are migration and border management, transnationalism, economic cooperation in the Mediterranean, climate change, European policy towards Arab countries or the jihadism; and other more novel or less approached such as Iran’s new foreign policy, politics of maritime infrastructures across the Mediterranean, the impact of Brexit on the role of Gibraltar or the relation between dissidence and the Arab women.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

 

The lectures will be at the Conference room IEMed, Girona, 20 - Barcelona and/or live on the IEMed streaming video channel.

Languages: The lectures will be in Catalan, Spanish, English or French, depending on the speaker.

Attendance is free.

Those who attend 40% of the sessions can request an attendance and achievement diploma delivered by the IEMed, jointly issued with the Master’s programs participating in the lectures. Anyone wishing to request the diploma should complete the registration form.
