'Exhibition on Bombs, Bikinis, & Borders' organised by Sahar Talebi
Pop-Art Exhibit “Bombs, Bikinis & Borders” in Barcelona Sparks Reflection and Social Change.
Barcelona, October 27, 2024 – Barcelona’s C6 Gallery was transformed into a vibrant hub for the “Bombs, Bikinis & Borders” exhibition. Organized entirely by Sahar Talebi, a student at the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), with support from Student Representatives and partial funding from student contributions, the event provided a dynamic platform to explore critical topics such as intersectionality, militarization, and environmental impact.
Through its engaging blend of art, discussion, and performance, the exhibition sparked meaningful conversations about pressing global challenges, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
The evening began at 6:00 PM, with the gallery alive with live performances and a visual art show amplifying the voices and struggles of marginalized communities. Using pop-art and other mediums, the artists delivered powerful messages on global issues, creating a space for reflection and dialogue.
At 8:00 PM, attendees enjoyed a special dinner accompanied by an exclusive performance, offering a sensory journey that deepened the experience. The evening concluded with a thought-provoking discussion panel, inspiring participants to reflect on how they can become active agents of change in the face of contemporary challenges.
“Bombs, Bikinis & Borders” was more than an art exhibition—it was a call to action and a moment to engage with the pressing issues of our time. Thanks to the creativity and dedication of artist Sahar Talebi, the event demonstrated the transformative power of collaboration and art to drive meaningful change.
Congratulations to Sahar Talebi, student of IBEI, for the “Bombs, Bikinis and Borders” exhibition!
