Biography

Lisa Hall is a PhD candidate in Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a predoctoral research fellow in "The social politics of risk in Africa (AFRICAs RISKS)" project under the supervision of Dr. Frank Borge Wietzke.

She holds a Master’s degree in Institutions and Political Economy from Universitat de Barcelona. Lisa completed a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from Erasmus University College in Rotterdam, which included a semester in African Studies at the African Studies Centre Leiden. Her research interests include social protection, welfare economics, and the political economy of the Global South. Previously, Lisa worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Judit Vall at Institut d'Economia of the Universitat de Barcelona.
