Series of lectures: Aula Mediterrània 2021-2022
The inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean with an as wide and interdisciplinary perspective as possible. It is the result of the collaboration between the IEMed and the academic world, including IBEI.
In the academic year 2021-22, the programme celebrates its eighth edition combining on-site and online conferences due to the covid-19 pandemic. Some of the topics that the programme will cover are migration and border management, transnationalism, economic cooperation in the Mediterranean, climate change, European policy towards Arab countries or the jihadism; and other more novel or less approached such as Iran’s new foreign policy, politics of maritime infrastructures across the Mediterranean, the impact of Brexit on the role of Gibraltar or the relation between dissidence and the Arab women.
We strongly recommend our students to take part in this programme in order to broaden their knowledge in the MENA region. Check the programme
