Three IBEI students awarded the Scholarship Masters of Excellence of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera
Javier Hernández Manrique and Minerva Estruch Rectoret, both students of the Master’s in International Relations, together with Dario Quadri Ilkhani, student of the Master’s in International Security, have been awarded the Scholarship Masters of Excellence of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera.
Javier Hernández Manrique graduated in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Granada. Within his undergraduate studies, he spent a year at the University of Jordan. After his studies, he worked as an interpreter with Syrian refugees in a Spanish NGO. He speaks English, Arabic, and French.
Minerva Estruch Rectoret studied a degree in International Business at the Universitat de Barcelona. After that, she worked as a junior consultant in the Brussels Delegation of ACCIÓ. She is fluent in English, French, Italian, and German.
Dario Quadri Ilkhani graduated from the University of Kent with a BA in Politics and International Relations. He worked in a start-up related to virtual reality and artificial intelligence in Madrid and a think tank in the United Kingdom. He speaks English, Farsi and Japanese.
This scholarship programme aims to recognise talent, promote excellence and convert Catalonia into a reference for quality graduate education. 52 top students were awarded scholarships for 51 different masters’ programmes which are included in the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera’s scholarship programme. Masters' degrees eligible to be included in the scholarship programme should be taught in English, meet the quality requirements of their faculty, have a focus on research and an international reputation.
The merit-based scholarships cover the full tuition fees. Applicants must have Spanish nationality and demonstrate an excellent academic record.
