Latin-American regionalism in crisis: Normative contestation and the liberal-conservative turn

José Antonio Sanahuja is the Director of Fundación Carolina.

He is Professor of International Relations at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and professor at the Diplomatic School of Spain. He has been a researcher at the Complutense Institute for International Studies (ICEI) and Robert Schuman Fellow of the European University Institute in Florence.

He has worked with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the International Federation of the Red Cross, and has been a researcher or consultant for the Commission and the European Parliament, UNDP, SEGIB, the Carolina Foundation, the EU Foundation LAC, and various NGOs.

In two different periods he has been an Expert Member of the Development Cooperation Council (Advisory Body of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation), and a member of the Board of Oxfam Intermón. He is part of the Scientific Committee of Honor of the Regional Coordinator of Economic and Social Research (CRIES).
