IBEI spearheaded the launch of the EU-VALUES, a Jean Monnet Network dedicated to advancing discourse and fostering an understanding of values and democracy within EU foreign policy. This collaborative effort unites 21 premier higher education institutions from across Europe and the globe.

Over the next three years, EU-VALUES will facilitate in-depth discussions through its website, blogs, webinars, podcasts, and videos, creating numerous opportunities for collaboration. It will generate novel insights through expert surveys. Furthermore, EU-VALUES is set to organize comprehensive two-day conferences in Santiago de Chile, Istanbul, Jakarta, and Rabat, featuring in-depth educational modules. Next week marks the call for papers for our inaugural EU-VALUES conference on 'Promoting Democracy and the Rule of Law – Global Perspectives,' to be held at the University of Chile on the 5th and 6th of December 2024.
