Fernando Hortal is a research assistant for the project "Expectations and effects of regional independence: A comparison of Catalonia and Scotland" coordinated by Lesley A. Daniels. He holds an MA in European Studies from the London School of Economics and an Inter-universitarian BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economy from the UPF, UC3, and UAM.
