Biografía

Jianwei Wang is Professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. He is Programme Coordinator of the Master of Arts in International Relations and Public Policy, and Director of the Insitute of Global and Public Affairs. Prof. Wang holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a B.A. and M.A. in International Politics from Fudan University (Shanghai). Previously, he was Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He has also served as a research fellow and visiting scholar at George Washington University’s Sigur Center for Asian Studies, the Atlantic Council of the United States, the East-West Center (Hawaii), and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research in Geneva. His teaching and research focus on East Asian politics and security, Chinese and American politics and foreign policy, Sino-American and Sino-Japanese relations, and UN peacekeeping operations. He has published extensively in these areas.
