Visiting Scholars Programme
IBEI's Visiting Scholars Programme is designed for faculty from abroad who are interested in an international research and scholarship opportunity at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). Participants are generally responsible for covering their own expenses for travel, accommodation, and any additional requirements (visa fees, health insurance cover, etc.). In most cases, participants have been awarded funding by their home governments or institutions for international travel and accommodation. Generally, such opportunities arise from interaction between IBEI faculty members and their international colleagues, leading to an invitation to undertake collaborative research at IBEI.
IBEI seeks the continual presence of Visiting Scholars to enhance its intellectual community. Visiting Scholars are appointed by IBEI’s Scientific Council and can be hosted for time periods ranging from one to twelve months. The category of Visiting Scholar is assigned on the basis of the seniority of the candidate.
A detailed CV and cover letter stating research interests is required in order to examine any request. Prospective scholars interested in collaborative research at IBEI should contact research@ibei.org for further information.
