Joan Pallarés holds a degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and, he has a Master's in European Studies with specialization in European Politics and International Relations from Maastricht University.

His functions include the technical coordination of the Institute participation in research projects funded by the European Union and other international and national sources, public and private. He is also responsible for supporting IBEI researchers in the presentation and development of projects, as well as in the organization of conferences, seminars and other events of research dissemination and transfer.
